Who We Are

  • Preserve Our Islands is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental organization working diligently to protect Maury Island's clean air and water and to preserve and protect the sensitive Puget Sound nearshore.
  • Founded nearly a decade ago, our membership now numbers in the thousands.

What We Do

  • Through advocacy and activism, Preserve Our Islands is committed to ensuring that fact and sound science, rather than corporate propaganda, is used when considering the potential impacts of the proposed Glacier Northwest mega mine on clean air, Maury Island's sole source aquifer, endangered species and the Puget Sound nearshore.
